bhaiya zara mayonnaise thik se daalna...

1st june 2012 - Friday.
Me being in a hopelessly lazy mood at times when I wake up so I dint make my lunch and went to office. After a lot of naatak(confusion) wether to order at office or to go out for lunch I finally called up a friend from the office next to mine to ask if she could come out for lunch and to my good luck she also dint get her lunch! (like minded people bond well very fast I tell u!!!)
So we headed to Pheonix mills(a shopping mall at lower parel, Mumbai) to have lunch. It was my choice to eat at Mac Donalds and we went in right away. I was unaware of the Mac lunch meals etc but was pleasantly surprised n so both me and my friend Mansi ordered for 1 MAC VEGGI MEAL each. The eating part was yummmmm of course and I wont go into it because almost every young boy or girl knows the taste and why we all are for crazy for it. The interesting part comes later when I walked out of Mac to order a TAKE AWAY meal for a collegue.
There was not much queue in the Take Away section now as compared to the number waiting while we entered Mac D. There was just one female standing b4 me and I thought “thank god, it will get over quick!” (because I was already out of office for above an hour and wanted to hurry back). But fate was going in a different.
The lady standing ahead of might be in her 40’s and probably new to Mac D culture. She ordered 1 Mac veggi burger large meal with coke without ice which she repeated herself for 3 times and 2 Mac veggie burgers alag se (separately or I guess she meant just the burgers) and 1 paneer wrap. All of this she repeated thrice each.
Then she asked the guy at the counter to repeat the order and then crossed checked each of it again. Now comes the high light BHAIYA MAYONAISE THIK SE DAALNA!!!
What????
Think u dint read it properly?
No u read it absolutely correct!!!
She said Bhaiya mayonnaise thik se daalna to a order guy at Mac D. Your not wrong even the guy taking the order misunderstood and so did we all who were standing at the queue there where 4 people behind me and of course my friend Mansi who was waiting for me.  The Mac D order guy tried confirming by saying “extra mayonnaise, right”
The lady said –yes
MacD guy – mam tat wud cost extra 30.
Lady – (on phone extra 30 rupees bol raha hai!) yes all dis repeating 3 times was bcoz she was taking the order herself from some one at the phone.
I suppose the person at the other end might have denied paying extra 30 bucks as the lady just hubly replied
Nai bhaiya extra nai sirf aap jo normal mayonnaise daalte ho na who hi thik se daal na!
All this while my patience was at test as I was already in a hurry to reach back office to be made to go through all these drama. All of us were making fun of the lady in amongst ourselves even I was looking at Mansi and giving funny looks. Finally she was gone and I placed my order. But after all of this got over a thought struck me.
She was just a person who was new to this culture or probably a mom taking a parcel for her kids who are probably like me and u who like Mac D. I don’t know whom was she taking the parcel for but then everything has a 1st time for every person. I remember how I fumbled in my school days due to lack of confidence to speak to a teacher in English even though that’s probably the language that I was learning everyday for almost 10 years. So HATS OFF to all those people who try getting into a new culture or try learning new things even at an age of 40 or 50.
After all life is a continuous learning process right!

love amidst war!

He was running with a sword in his hands anger for Hindu people in his eyes and his white Pathani blood stained on the streets of MUMBAi with his fellow Muslims. The road was empty due to the curfew in Mumbai due to the Hindu Muslim riots of 1992. Only a group of 15 boys was roaming in the lanes of andheri just in search of any Hindu but he was mearly wandering with his fellow members. Fahim was not violent and neither wanted to kill or hurt anybody an engineer who belonged to a sophisticated and peace loving Muslim family.

Suddenly the group turned towards an half open shutter of a shop. Their eyes looked like that of a tiger in nearing his prey except Fahim. As they opened the shutter they moved in and scattered to search the shop which was a general store. A member of their group asked fahim to go in a particular direction and he just followed the orders. As he neared the end of the lane he saw her in the darkness and time freezed for him. The girl looked all scared and was shivering in terror while he stood there freezed not believing wat he saw. It was her. YES, it is HER. His heart started pounding instead of beating by every second that passed between them. POOJA. Thousands of thoughts were running through his mind. Happiness, sadness, questions, answers, conversations all running through his mind and then suddenly it all stopped as he heard his friend shout out FAHIM, KOI MILA KYA! (Did you find someone!). He answered NAHI (NO). He neared her and whispered I WILL BE BACK TO SAVE U TRUST ME POOJA! FAHIM REMEMBER! His eyes had all the tenderness of a kid and that gave her a reason to believe him even when she was scared of everyone from his race.
The group left the shop Fahim was the last to leave. While leaving he locked the store and told his fellows that TAAKE KOI HINDU PHIR SE YAHAN CHUP NA SAKE! MAI WAPAS AAKE CHECK KAR LUNGA KI TAALA TUTA HAI K NAI! (So that no other hindu can hide in again, I will also come and check if the lock is broken or no!) The last line was a bit louder for Pooja to hear. The group went on.
The moment Fahim left she was numb and all blank. Gradually her shivering stopped and her body became stable. As she regained her senses the only words haunting her life, ears, heart and mind were FAHIM REMEMBER!!!
She waited in the locked store for what seemed like eternity as she had lost track of time. It was around 2am in the night when the shutter opened slowly. Pooja froze again of fear but the very next second the voice came closing the shutter ITS FAHIM! He locked the store and went to her. He had brought some food for her and some clothes of her sister probably. He just watched her in amazement as she had her food. After the food they sat besides each other for another eternity seeing into each others eyes they had a full conversation-
Pooja (P)- thanx for saving me,
Fahim(F)- don’t say that,
P- u recognized me?
F- how could I not?
P- how can u? we have not seen each other for over a decade.
F- time doesn’t faint ur the beauty of face in my eye or memory.
P- why?
F- bcoz ur face is the only face I have had dreams of since class 10.
P- u seriously liked me?
F- yes
P- u still love me?
Fahim just smiled a shy smile.
the last look in his eyes said “I will not let anything or anyone harm u! I will reach u safely to ur family!"

Even then he knew she is still just a dream in his life which he could never achieve! his love for her did not demand anything from her!

Pooja just said - I TRUST YOU! and fell asleep on his shoulders with the hope of seeing her family again and praying that they were all safe.

of blurred visions and fears.

Diya’s eyes were blur with tears and the fear of her uncertain tomorrow that lay ahead of her at that moment as she sat helpless under the shower thinking about her to be ex husband and his family. She had wept a lot and after a long time.
Their presence in her life was becoming like a dark eclipse that dint seem to end. 3 days back she was very happy with her life that she was settling in her new job, was learning new things, making new friends and over all happy in her life that she was finally getting out of the depression of her divorce after almost 18 months of mind wrecking meetings and the counseling sessions that happened at the family court. She was beginning to live her freedom. Fulfilling her small wishes and pampering herself of simple pleasures of life.
But one phone call from a friend was all it took for her ex husband to spoil everything. A call that informed that her ex husband is spying on her.  Her confidence suddenly went down and frustration rised up. since 3 days she was in her own world of frustration and when at home she yelled and annoyed everybody. She snapped at her niece for no reason.  Today she felt disgusted of herself as she saw the “look of disappointment” in the only person whom she loved more than herself her MOM.
Finally wipping her tears diya made a decision “to live in the present come what may”. She will move ahead pushing all her fears aside and live freely, spread love around her and not frustration. Finally diya stood up got dressed and went to her mom hugged her and said I LOVE YOU MOM.

THE BIG FAT INDIAN GROOM SALES!!!

20th MAY's episode on SATYAMEV JAYATE should reach as a slap on all those Indian males in India and abroad who still expect or accept DOWRY. The episode’s 1st victim was a girl who would have had a bright future had she not got hitched to a looser NRI. What is the purpose of marriage??? Earning money or earning love and a lifetime of companionship.
Bloody, on one hand Devdas wasted all his life just b’coz he dint get the girl he loved.  Chandramukhi  lived a lonely life just in the hope that one day she will get the love of her life and on the other hand there are well educated guys from IT field etc and also NRI’s who get married just to get dowry. On one hand there are handicapped people who even after loosing a hand or a leg are working hard to earn a respectful living and on the other hand modern marwadi boys tell me “ I cant go against my dad and it’s a tradition in our culture to take heavy gifts.” Are boys loosing their spinal cord these days?
But are they the only one to be blamed or are the girl and her parents equally responsible. The statistic show that currently there are approximately 30,000 females sitting at their parents house in Punjab waiting for their NRI husbands to call them from INDIA. The parents of a girl always wish a better future for their darling daughter but the question is what comes under “Better Future”. A guy who loves and takes care of their princess for a life time or Big houses, Big cars, lavish lifestyle or rather a Green card. Am not denying that money is not important but how much do we need??? At the death bed what would I do with a hefty bank balance if I don’t have anybody to hold my hand and tell me “I love you.”
A friend of mine recently got divorced some 6months back. Now I feel she was very lucky to finish the relation in 10 months of marriage rather then going through any tortures. The symptoms were same – the guy and his family pretended to be of modern thinking and very open minded in the beginning. Once the relation got fixed they started saying they wanted a lavish engagement party and then a BIG FAT WEDDING. The girl kept on telling her parents to deny all that and only spent how much is possible for them. After the wedding the guy showed least interest in her. Finally she came back to her parents and got divorced. But I guess all of this could have been avoided.
Its time we need to decide where do we as the youth of INDIA want to go.

Gift a kid a secured childhood!

SATYAMEV JAYATE!
Much promoted, much hyped and much talked about show by Amir Khan on Star Plus turns out to be a true Amir Khan thing. Missed the 1st episode but heard awesome reviews about it so I actually set a reminder for the 2nd episode and GOD,,, I was moved, tensed, touched my heart n all of it.
Being an aunt of 2 most amazingly cute niece’s for 4 years now I had always joked to my brother that he gonna have loads of prob keeping guys away from his daughters as they are too cute now and may become too good looking in future. But it always bothered me watching other crime shows about my neice’s safety. Had read in the newspapers about making your kids aware of bad touch by others too but it was still difficult to explain kids.
On 13th may 2012 when I saw this episode the 1st half got its purpose served on me and my family’s thoughts of making people feel angry and at the same time feel sympathy for the victims. It also puts a thought in our head and gives us strength to fight our problems thinking that no matter what ever problems we are facing in our life (no job, love issues etc), many of us at least had our golden years secured in the care of our parents when these victims were in their most horrifying face (with all due respect to the victims). I feel immense gratitude towards my parents, immediate family and the almighty for it.
Then comes the main part for all those who have any kid in their life who they really love and care about. The suggestions from the psychiatrist and the workshop that Amir conducted with the kids was the best thing that could happen to us. The inability to explain themselves and fear of not been trusted by their parents seems to be the main reason why kids suffer for so many years from child sexual abuse. So parents please talk to your kids about this openly. The age of considering having sexual talks with your kids as a taboo are long gone. We are in a modern age and the problems might be old but this in increasing in numbers now. so if a kid comes up to u and tries explaining something like this acknowledge him, comfort him and solve the matter for him.
One of the most important factors in developing our confidence as an adult is a secure and normal childhood and it’s our responsibility to make sure that all the kids around us have a confident life in their future.

vicky donor

I normally write a review only when a movie entertains me to the core or touches me to the core of my heart, but Vicky donor serves both the purposes. Being obsessed by the song "Pani da" i went to watch the movie and its turned out to be a complete paisa wasool. After watching the movie you will have a hangover for 2 days minimum of Anu Kapoor moving his fingers everytime he takes the word Sperrrmmss. But if you are a movie freak you would appreciate the efforts and the way the topic is put forward for our awareness. A decade back a movie named Filhaal had been released with the issue of surrogate mother but it was dealt with very seriously and vicky donor is also dealing with an issue of our modern age called infertility but in males. it shows exactly how people react when they are even said teasingly that they cant reproduce and gradually making people aware that the main purpose is not whose sperms they are but the happiness lies in the completion of the family by the arrival of a child thereby asking people to support such treatments. I guess Indian people need a pinch of humour to make things go in their head and for them to be brave enough to accept such practices. Loved the movie totally. you would love it too. GO WATCH IT!

bachpan ki mohabbat

Hi friends,
I wana say something.actually i wana share something.i recently met a girl n we became good friends n wen i heard her love story it made me feel like god still makes MADE FOR EACH OTHER COUPLES. honestly in our generation i had forgotten tat der is some such thing like made for each other but her pair is certainly made in heaven. its their love story and it touched my heart and my soul a lot.

it all started wen the girl was in 4th std n guy was in 7th std.des guys used to go to the same tution classes. the guy found her to b very cute n proposed her. she liked his company hence told him yes. thats how their story started.de started spendin time together n going for tutions etc 3yrs. wen the girl finished her 7th std her parents came to know abt their relation n they stopped sendin her to the school. 1 year passed by the girl dint meet the boy. 1 year later she started working in a archies store, the guy came to know abt it n went to meet her.
asked her all the question he had since 1 yr, why she dint go to school etc etc.
she told him tat bcoz her parents came to know abt their relation so they didnt allow her to go to school.

thats wen the boy decided he will educate her. that year she worked at archies n he started teachin in a dance class. they got her leaving sertificate from her school and arranged money for her to give her 10 std exam. i love this part yaar the guy got so dedicated n responsible in such a young age wher in todays generation we ppl keep runnin from commitment n responsibity he took it willing n she supported him whole heartedly n strongly.

i felt like sayin dis story bcoz emotions are taken for granted in our generation, ppl are afraid of commitment n also more den commitment de are plain confused, de get distracted so easily.this is just a tip of the ice berg this couple has seen hell lot of things n tat too at such a young age n still they are together and their parents have also realised their love is true and after much ado they have agreed to their relation. god bless this couple with all the happiness n i hope their story encourages some ppl to stick to their love rather den chickenin out thru fears of future or parents.
